Oliveris has accumulated a significant amount of IP regarding the real-time monitoring and analysis of geothermal well drilling. We continue to pursue this R&D whilst developing a down-the-hole data acquisition and communication system that will significantly reduce the costs and timeframes associated with test drilling activities. These activities will directly contribute to implementation of the recent EU resolution highlighting geothermal energy as a valuable and local source of renewable energy.

European Parliament Resolution on Geothermal Energy: Unlocking the Potential of a Sustainable Energy Source
Abstract: The European Parliament has adopted a resolution highlighting the immense potential of geothermal energy as a valuable and local source of renewable energy. This resolution emphasizes the need for concrete guidance and a comprehensive EU geothermal strategy to accelerate the deployment of geothermal energy, decarbonize heating, and contribute to the EU's energy independence. It calls for measures to support geothermal district heating and cooling systems, improve data availability, provide funding and financial de-risking solutions, streamline permitting processes, and enhance workforce training and skills. The resolution also recognizes the importance of technology development, territories in transition, visibility, public acceptance, and international cooperation in harnessing the full potential of geothermal energy. By embracing geothermal energy, Europe can diversify its energy supplies, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and create sustainable and quality jobs while advancing towards its climate and energy targets.
